UK professional listener service – A confidential space to talk and feel heard
A one-to-one professional listener service for those who need a genuine human connection to speak, reflect, and feel truly heard without judgment, advice, or pressure.
About Simply Listening
Professional Listening! Is that even a thing?
Quite simply yes – Our professional listeners are trained in Active Listening and Non-directive Presence, which are communication techniques whereby they focus intently on you, to fully understand you. It goes beyond simply hearing your words. It involves making a conscious effort to understand your perspective, feelings, and intentions.
It’s a place to talk and be heard — fully, quietly, and without judgement.
What we offer
At its heart, this is a space for you to speak freely and be heard — fully, quietly, without pressure. We are not therapists. We are not here to give advice or tell you what to do. What we offer is simple, but rare: presence, attention, and emotional safety. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, grieving, unsure, stuck, or simply want to process something out loud, you're welcome here — just as you are.

Our role as a professional listener
We will:
• Be fully present with you

We won’t:
• Diagnose or treat mental health conditions
• Offer solutions or advice
• Direct the conversation
• Interrupt your flow
Is this right for you?
- You feel emotionally full and need to release, without being judged
- You’re burned out from noise, performance, or being “on” all the time
- You want to feel heard, not handled
- You’re in between therapy, or not ready for it
- You simply want a quiet, confidential place to say what’s on your mind
Everything that is said in a call is private and confidential
We do not share any information provided.
The only exception would be if we believed someone’s life was in immediate danger — in which case we’d let the caller know before acting.
All Associate Professional Listeners are DBS checked.
